Andrew is an art educator, illustrator and fine artist currently living in Fairfield CT. He primarily works in the medium of Scratchboard. This is a white artist board coated in black ink. The ink is carved away in fine lines to create value, texture, and movement. In addition, Mullen enjoys experimenting with other materials such as oil paint and carved found objects such as desks and shutters. Andrew's work can be seen in public and private galleries across the country. He works thematically and uses his personal experiences and relationship to the world around him as the driving force of his subject matter for local and regional gallery shows.
