House of Fermentology's latest release.
Todd, our brewmaster and founder of HoF has spent the last couple years tending to this new House of Fermentology Golden Sour. Some of you may have had the pleasure of trying it when it poured on draft a few months ago. Now it's ready for release in bottles. Duration Dot consists of one and two year old Sour Ale blended, fermented, and aged in oak. Each HoF beer holds its own unique properties, often distinguishing themselves in part by the various plants added during fermentation or aging. This particular beer spent six months in stainless steel, aging atop whole fresh crushed peaches following the blending of select barrels. Initially brewed using Pilsen malts from @vermontmalthouse and @valleymalt, as well as raw wheat from @nittygrittygrain and @nekgrains. In the finishing stage, Todd added raw VT wildflower honey from our own apiary, for natural bottle conditioning. And finally, after popping a few bottles open, we're ecstatic with what's inside. Notes of citrus, stone fruit, peach Bellini spritz and lactic, with a round, subtle sweetness. 5.2% abv, 500ml bottles. $17/bottle, limit 3pp.
