Back in late 2018 and early 2019, we filled a handful of wet and expressive Pinot Noir barrels with wort and a mixed culture comprised of some of our favorite microbes. After fermentation and extensive development in the barrel, we selected our favorite barrels, blended and moved them into neutral oak where they soaked with fresh lemon zest, rose hips, and a second run of raspberries from Fisher Brother Farm. Bottled in the fall of 2019, this beautiful tart expression of summer is finally ready to enjoy.⠀

The art and concept for the label was created by our friend @yungbachelor(Jack Moore). Jack is based in New York City, where he has continued to grow and develop as an artist, constantly inspiring us in every new direction. However, he previously lived in Burlington for a number of years, hosting art shows and creating around our little city. It was in those early days that we first came to appreciate his work. When asked about this piece, Jack responded:⠀
"Do you know the song, 'Moonlight in Vermont?' I guess the motivation would be all the great memories I have from living in Vermont. I do romanticize these memories. I really came into myself and grew while living in Vermont. That Sinatra song is like the perfect romanticism of Vermont though."
