Selectively blended, this mixed culture wild ale was fermented and aged in oak barrels for fifteen months prior to naturally conditioning in the bottle. On the nose of FOTW 2019 you’ll find it tart and citrusy. With much less acidity than its nose leads you to believe, it’s dry, bright and funky with subtle Brett notes. Lemon, pineapple and citrus pith are present, and it’s all supported by tasteful oak undertones resulting from months spent in wine barrels. It’s a complex beer for those looking for depth, yet the subtle acidity lends itself to pure enjoyment whether it's around a dinner table or catching up with an old friend.
