Gaybar:
GAYBAR (she/her) is a lesbian party DJ from the east coast of Canada who is now based in Burlington, VT. GAYBAR’s sets span decades and include house music (melodic/progressive), top 40 hits, remixes, divas, drum and bass, dubstep and hip hop. She has been working hard for the last year in Burlington to create/promote new queer spaces for people to congregate. THE GOAL: Good music. Celebrating our existence. Radical love & Radical joy. 🫶
RANGUS:
RANGUS is a Queer Punk band from Burlington, VT. A power trio belting whimsical lyrical odysseys at 180+ BPM about being Gay & Trans in the modern age.
Formed out of the ending pandemic & beginning gender transition of front-person Veronica Stella Russell - RANGUS began as an outlet & answer for musical entertainment at LGBTQ community events Russell helped to organize & facilitate. With her music & lyrics always having a message around inclusion & equity
RANGUS has honed a unique identity utilizing the unconventional means in the punk scene. With a signature of an overdriven thin-body acoustic guitar & a narrative forward lyrical style - RANGUS sticks out on any bill or night.
The Bubs:
The Bubs are a 10-piece collective of artists, musicians and friends from Burlington, Vermont who serve up a catchy, passionate blend of punk and garage rock. Since they formed in 2018, their fiery, contagious energy and sweaty, unbridled, off-the-rails live shows have captured the hearts and minds of their community. Their music is ferocious yet tender, a crooked vessel for beauty, empowerment, and catharsis.
The Bubs rock through pain, frustration, fun, and relationship with each other. To see them perform is to witness a teetering tower of energy, strapped to wheels and careening around like a bike with no brakes, smiling through the holes in their teeth, spitting out light like a broken star. Their music is sweet and powerful and profane and hopeless. In the midst of the hugeness and the explosiveness and the ferocity, the band has become a true family, built on a scaffold of love and mutual support. They try too hard, they lose their voices, they break their stuff, they scream in your face, and the next thing you know you’ll be pickled in fire, smiling like a brave child, screaming along with them.
