Formed out of love for Prince and his music, “Purple” has been fronted by Craig Mitchell since the band’s inception during Burlington’s Discover Jazz Festival at Club Metronome, June 7, 2010. The band has performed numerous times since their first show and has included various members over the years, featuring some of The Queen City’s funkiest musicians. Join PURPLE as they weave through Prince’s extensive catalogue of hits and deep cuts. It’s gonna be funky!

UPDATE: 12/30/21

With rising cases, adjustments to Highlight celebrations, and a lot of reasonable questions, we wanted to provide an update regarding tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve show with Purple: A VT Tribute to Prince. 

Purple is still ON for New Year’s Eve at Foam. Here are the details.

The City of Burlington and Highlight are no longer officially participating/promoting in-person and indoors events. That being said, Highlight will be virtually streaming Purple for all virtual and all-access ticket holders. They are setting up all the tech today and it promises to be top notch.

We (Foam) are hosting guests for those of you that are looking for that in person experience, with a few adjustments from our initial plan.

• We will be limiting capacity to ensure that there is adequate space for guests to distance themselves.
• We are requiring proof of vaccination to enter AND masks to be worn at all times that you are not actively eating/drinking. 
• We ask that you please do not join us if you are experiencing any sickness. 
• We also ask that those of you planning to attend are conscientious with your actions leading up to, and after, New Year’s Eve. 

Ticket questions??

• For a $10 cover charge, guests will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis until we reach our limited capacity. Afterwards, we will let more in only as other guests leave.
• We will honor Highlight All Access passes. BUT, this does not guarantee entry if we are at capacity. You will not have to pay the $10 cover but you may have to wait in line until space opens up. 
• Music starts at 10pm. If you want to ensure your spot, we recommend arriving early (prior to 9:30) and relaxing with a beverage while you wait for the show to begin.
