Join us on Thursday, July 10th for Heather Lynn, Emily Irving, and Julia Spelman.
[Heather Lynn]
Heather Lynn is an artist from the Blue Ridge of Virginia, based in Portland, Maine. Weaving dynamic vocals and fingerstyle guitar, she creates gritty melodies rooted in folk and rock sounds. Her lyrics echo childhood memories and the harsh but beautiful world surrounding. “Narrows”, her debut release, features seven original songs recorded in living rooms across Boston as well as Chillhouse Studios. The tracks move from powerful rock anthems to pining acoustic tunes. Through her music she hopes to peek over the walls growing taller around us all. “Heather Lynn has a folky style and perfectly executed layered vocals. The perfect soundtrack for woods wandering, lake or ocean side summer mornings, or sunset strolling.” - New England Music Collective
[Emily Irving]
Emily Irving is a folk rock singer-songwriter based out of Portland, Maine, crafting playful and heartfelt tunes to mirror, mystify, and mend. With influences like Feist and Juliana Hatfield, Emily’s songs are honest and imaginative with a distinct sound that is entirely her own. Her band has Anthony Branca on lead guitar, Michael Sabin on bass, and Hunter Coleman on drums.
[Julia Spelman]
Where humor lives next to heartbreak. Where you can be soft and loud at once. Julia Spelman’s music is the sound of remembering who you are. Emerging in September 2024 from a place of rebirth and reflection, her work was born out of a fierce desire to redefine the role of women in music—not only as vocalists or performers but as producers, arrangers, and multi-instrumentalists.
With honesty, confidence, and a sharp sense of humor, Julia Spelman challenges conventional expectations while carving out a distinct voice inspired by artists such as Madison Cunningham, Nick Drake, and Yebba. Her music has that warm, analog feel, mixing nostalgic melodies with lyrics about identity, resilience, and finding yourself.
Julia’s music invites you to feel it all—to be vulnerable and strong, gentle and intense—reminding us how powerful it is to own who we really are.
