Join us for an evening of warmth this December as Father Figuer celebrates the arrival of their sophomore record “Jack of all Fruits”. They’re honored to be accompanied by the budding work of Remi Russin, Kenzie Hines, Mia Schaumburg, Cooper Gardner, Nick Tansey, and Elise Albertini. Refreshments by Foam Brewers.

*All attendees are required to wear masks while inside at the show. We are doing our best to keep our community safe while still taking the opportunity to gather and celebrate the art of our friends. We ask that everyone be vaccinated for the event or show a negative COVID test within 48 hours before the event.

REMI RUSSIN is a multi-instrumentalist and graphic designer based in Winooski, Vermont. They're best known from acts such as Community Garden and Plastique Mammals. Their most recent solo work combines elements of twee, new wave, and jangle pop. They also design concert flyers and promotion material for local musicians at little or no cost.

KENZIE HINES is an artist based around so-called Burlington, Vermont specializing in linoleum cut printmaking and naturally dyed textiles. Their printed works are at the intersection of anticapitalist movement work and ecology, and demonstrate the power of our relationships when we care for each other. Their work reminds us of what we already know: we are connected to and responsible for each other and the world around us.

MIA SCHAUMBURG is a multidisciplinary artist based in Portland, Maine. She uses film, photo and painting to reconnect with her body. Movement is a theme consistent in her work and dancing from a young age has informed the way she creates textures in all the mediums she practices. Mia often collaborates with other people and intends to empower them through her lens to feel connected to the world around them and their bodies. For Mia, art in whatever medium feels right at the time is a powerful healing tool.

NICK TANSEY is originally from rural NC and now lives in Burlington VT. He loves to make pictures, postcards, paintings, poems, drawings, sounds, and small sporting events in town. He likes an informal approach to art and values keeping art accessible to all people. One of his grandmothers thinks all of his art is scary but she still loves it which is nice of her.

ELISE ALBERTINI is a potter and musician based in Burlington, VT. Since 2019, she has learned to make pottery in her spare time when not performing with Father Figuer and Lake Waves. Her pottery aims to be fun, not too serious, and functional. She specializes in wheel-thrown plates, bowls and cups but has enjoyed hand building and coils along the way. Pottery is a great way to de-stress and ground yourself when you get locked in a perfectionist mindset. The amount of perfect pottery she has made is the same as the amount of times Bernie has been president, but nonetheless we persist and strive to be better. She has made a custom series of cups for Father Figuer’s LP, Jack of All Fruits. Each one is unique and hand made. Enjoy.
