Erik Benepe is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer. His most recent EP, “Life in New York,” is an ode to his home city, and blends an existential examination of day-to-day life in the city with "man on the street" realism, while maintaining a light-hearted, humorous energy. His music combines the lyrical simplicity of folk music with the directness of proto-punk, and different textural elements including synthesizers and drum machines, like if John Prine were produced by Danger Mouse.
