Bob Wagner songs draw from the folk, blues, country and gospel traditions though his live show honors the spirit of group improvisation more often found in the jazz and jam world. As longtime guitarist and collaborator with Vermont’s Kat Wright (who’s most recently toured with The Wood Brothers, Ryan Montbleau, Taylor Ashton and Amy Helm), Bob’s also known to organize and lead larger ensembles for special occasions around Burlington. After a recent debut of all new, original music for Higher Ground’s 25th Anniversary celebration, Wagner brings the core members from that band with him to Foam Brewers to kick off this years Discover Jazzfest.
